Goody Clancy Announces Promotions for Director of Sustainability and Director of Operations

Goody Clancy is pleased to announce the promotions of Elaine Hoffman to Director of Sustainability and Kevin Minster to Director of Operations.

Elaine Hoffman, AIA, CPHC, LEED AP BD+C, is a champion for high-performance design. Working closely with clients and project teams, she improves firmwide sustainability targets through innovative systems and design strategies that advance building performance. Her expertise has been critical to achieving success on projects such as the Irving Institute for Energy and Society and the deep energy retrofit study at Mount Holyoke College. She engages in practice-based research on building science topics and is a certified Passive House Consultant. Elaine has chaired our 2030 Committee since 2015, and currently leads our Project Sustainability Champions working group.
The most rewarding part of my work is helping designers and consultant teams push project boundaries to achieve more ambitious design solutions through innovative systems and design strategies. I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role, broadening my leadership within the firm to identify and implement consistent sustainability protocols across all our projects. Kevin Minster, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has taken on a new role as our Director of Operations. After joining Goody Clancy in 2014, Kevin became an Associate in 2019 and Senior Associate in 2021. During that time, he gained recognition from our clients as a thoughtful, creative, and pragmatic problem-solver. Kevin’s combination of soft skills, technical knowledge, and managerial capabilities directly benefits our firm in this new role. His operations work is also strengthened by his continued involvement in project management and leadership—experience that helps Kevin keep abreast of current trends and best practices within the profession.

In my new role, I look forward to building upon the strong foundations set before me. As the firm continues to evolve and look toward the future, our core pursuits remain steadfast: design that advances learning and discovery, serves society, and elevates humanity; and a workplace where everyone is inspired to excel, grow, and be the very best version of themselves.
