We are delighted to announce the promotions of Jim Clifford, Kevin Minster, and Kate Murphy to Associate Principal at Goody Clancy.
Each of these leaders has made significant contributions to the firm’s growth, culture, and impact. Their promotions recognize both their past achievements and the important roles they will play in shaping the firm’s future.
Jim Clifford joined Goody Clancy in 1994 after earning his Bachelor of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College. Over the past three decades, he has grown as a seasoned architect, accomplished project manager, and trusted technical advisor.
Jim’s responsibilities span from project management to mentorship to firmwide involvement in quality assurance and risk management. A natural organizer and problem-solver, he is skilled in forecasting design challenges and developing strategies unique to each project.
Throughout his tenure, Jim has continually earned the trust of both colleagues and clients. He has a record of delivering steady leadership on some of our most significant projects, including recent work at Boston College and Dartmouth College. Through the years, our clients have expressed appreciation for Jim’s invaluable contributions, often recognizing his role as a key factor in their project’s success.

Kevin Minster joined Goody Clancy in 2014. He earned his Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Kent State University. As Director of Operations, Kevin oversees firmwide staffing, planning, and management, leads recruitment and onboarding, and strengthens project management and business processes. He also champions major initiatives including the firm’s JUST Label renewal and recognition as an AIA Emerging Professionals Friendly Firm.
As Associate Principal, Kevin also focuses on client-facing project leadership. In this role, he helps shape our growing portfolio and deepen our client relationships while contributing internally as a member of our leadership group. Externally, Kevin also represents Goody Clancy at the TAG Boston-firm roundtable and has served the profession through his service on multiple committees of the National Council for Architectural Registration Boards.

Kate Murphy joined Goody Clancy in 2015. She earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor of Arts in American History and Literature from Harvard University. Over the past ten years, she has been a driving force behind the firm’s strategic growth and development.
As Director of Marketing, Kate has led pivotal transitions for the firm, including an award-winning website and rebrand that elevated Goody Clancy’s visibility in the marketplace. She champions knowledge sharing and thought leadership as part of the firm’s mission to be a true learning organization. Kate also plays a pivotal role in business development, supporting client and partner relationships. Outside the office, Kate serves as Board Director for the New England Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians and serves on the Professional Development Committee of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, Boston.

Please join us in congratulating Jim, Kevin, and Kate on their promotions to Associate Principal. Their leadership, expertise, and dedication have made a lasting impact on Goody Clancy, and we look forward to the many ways they will continue to shape the firm’s future.
