Scott’s lifelong interest in art and design made architecture a natural path—one that allows him to shape the spaces where people live, learn, and connect. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Hobart College and a Master of Architecture from the University at Buffalo.
Early in his career, Scott worked alongside architect Mike Naylor, gaining a hands-on education in building systems and the day-to-day practice of architecture that could never be learned from a textbook. The experience also instilled a lasting appreciation for mentorship. A career highlight was serving as job captain for the Empire State Youth Orchestra’s new home, where he designed spaces specifically around the performers’ acoustical needs.
At Goody Clancy, Scott brings his strengths in conceptual design and detailing, along with an eagerness to be a trusted resource and a positive presence on his teams. He is drawn to education projects that help students and faculty thrive by supporting learning, community, and the everyday connections that make a campus come alive.
Outside of the office, Scott is an enthusiastic tabletop war gamer and board gamer, belonging to a local club in Cambridge. His fuel for a long campaign: chicken katsu with Japanese curry from Café Mami in Porter Square.
