Mark has always been drawn to architecture’s mix of creativity and problem-solving. More than 30 years into his career, he still finds it exciting to see an idea take shape—from the first sketch to figuring out the details that make it all work.
As a Senior Project Architect at Goody Clancy, Mark brings his design and technical experience to complex projects. He has worked across every stage of the process, from early planning and design through documentation and construction. He especially enjoys renovation and adaptive reuse, where the challenge of working with what’s already there can uncover new possibilities.
For Mark, some of the best architectural solutions don’t necessarily call attention to themselves; they simply make a place work and feel better. At Goody Clancy, he’s excited to bring that perspective to higher education projects, share ideas, learn from colleagues, and tackle complex challenges as part of a collaborative team.
Mark grew up on the coast of Maine and remains firmly convinced that Mainers are the nicest people on earth—though he admits he may be biased. He loves exploring cities and architecture with his wife, who is also an architect. When it’s time to unwind, Mark is happiest in the woods, preferably with his dog along for the adventure.
