Josh's passion for architecture began in the workshop, where he worked alongside his parents in carpentry and general contracting and developed an early appreciation for how buildings come together. That interest took on new direction when a school design project introduced him to architecture, revealing a profession that seamlessly blends creativity with technical problem-solving.
Before joining Goody Clancy, Josh worked on projects spanning a wide range of typologies, gaining valuable experience in construction administration and developing an appreciation for the complexities of existing buildings. His work on a proposal for a new lecture hall further sparked a passion for higher education design, making Goody Clancy's commitment to creating inspiring learning environments a natural fit. Drawing on his understanding of both design and construction, Josh combines technical expertise with thoughtful design to create spaces that are carefully detailed, built to last, and centered on the people and communities they serve.
Outside the office, Josh is an avid runner who enjoys exploring new places one long route at a time. He also earned a minor in philosophy, ending his studies with a course on the philosophy of horror—a class that's every bit as interesting as it sounds.
