Goody Clancy Names Dominick Roveto as Next President

Goody Clancy has appointed Dominick Roveto as its next president. Roveto, a seasoned architect and leader with over 30 years of experience, brings a deep understanding of higher education planning and design, a strategic vision for firm growth, and a passion for fostering collaborative, innovative campus environments.

Roveto will step into this role in May 2025. He succeeds David Spillane, who has served as Goody Clancy’s president since the role was established in 2014. Spillane will remain with the firm through the end of 2025 as a principal, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring a smooth transition.

A Leader Deeply Rooted in Education Design

Roveto has dedicated his career to higher education and campus planning. His long-standing involvement with the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP)—where he serves on the North Atlantic Regional Council—provides valuable insight into the evolving needs of educational institutions.

In his prior leadership roles—at Ellenzweig, HDR, and DLR Group—Roveto helped shape education-focused practices and design solutions. This experience positions Roveto to build on Goody Clancy’s strong foundation while driving the firm forward.

Goody Clancy has long been at the forefront of designing transformative campus environments that support innovation, community, and discovery. I am honored to step into this role and excited to collaborate with the firm’s talented team, clients, and partners to shape the next chapter of its legacy.

A Thoughtful Leadership Transition

Goody Clancy’s Board of Directors carefully considered the firm’s long-term vision when selecting its next leader.

“Dom’s expertise in education design, his strategic mindset, and his ability to bring people together make him the right leader for Goody Clancy’s future,” said Lisa Ferreira, chair of Goody Clancy’s Board of Directors. “His appointment comes at an exciting moment as we look ahead to our next strategic planning cycle and the continued evolution of the firm.”

Spillane, who has been with Goody Clancy for 24 years, will continue to support the firm during the transition period.

“It has been an incredible privilege to serve as Goody Clancy’s president,” said Spillane. “With Dom’s leadership, I am confident the firm will continue to thrive, bringing fresh energy and ideas to its next chapter.”
