RiverPark Place Master Plan

Poe Companies, Louisville, KY
Creating Louisville’s new waterfront neighborhood
Conducted on behalf of Poe Companies, Goody Clancy’s master plan for RiverPark Place in Louisville provides the framework for development of a mixed-use district on the Ohio River waterfront in the downtown. Bordering the city’s acclaimed new waterfront park, RiverPark Place will play an important, ongoing role in the renaissance of the community’s formerly industrial riverfront.
- When fully developed, Riverpark will include up to 1,500 homes, office space, restaurants, and stores organized around a central square and marina. The waterfront is defined by a generous public promenade, which connects through Waterfront Park to the heart of downtown.
- The street network within RiverPark is elevated above the flood level of the Ohio River with parking provided below buildings and streets. In the event of extreme flooding, parking areas below buildings are designed to accommodate floodwaters.
- Construction is moving forward in phases with several hundred apartments, a 150-slip marina, and the waterfront promenade already completed. Goody Clancy is currently working with the Poe Companies on the design of a waterfront mixed-use building that will include housing above office and retail space.
