Resilient planning: helping communities adapt to a changing environment

After a decade of helping cities like New Orleans recover and rebuild after devastating storms, we are committed to helping vulnerable communities to minimize and mitigate the potential impacts of sea level rise, coastal storms, and flooding on neighborhoods, districts, and entire regions.

Our work includes:

  • Anticipating challenges that may emerge over several decades, creating long-term community plans that incorporate resilient strategies, standards, and guidelines
  • Shaping plans for high-risk coastal districts that mitigate the impacts of storms
  • Developing building and infrastructure designs that emphasize resilience
