Susana Alvarez Ruiz

PIC Intern

Susana joins Goody Clancy as a summer intern, bringing creative energy and a strong interest in community-centered design. A recent high school graduate, she’s already begun exploring architecture through classes and programs at Harvard, MIT, and Wentworth. During Harvard’s Equity in Design program, she studied Boston’s train stations and found stark disparities between a newly renovated station in Somerville and Ruggles station in a lower-income area. This experience sharpened her understanding of how design can either promote or hinder equity and sparked her curiosity about how she might contribute to more inclusive environments in the future.

Susana looks forward to collaborating with several project teams throughout her internship, building physical models and growing her skills in programs like Photoshop and Rhino. She also enjoys new languages and is currently learning French.
