Legacy Hall College of Business

Florida State University (Tallahassee, FL)

The College of Business at Florida State University has been in search of a new home—a building that will further elevate their dramatically rising stature and help attract students and faculty. Legacy Hall presents a tremendous opportunity to create a multi-functional, collaborative, and flexible environment for teaching, research, and learning. Dedicated spaces within the building will include intimate business “mixer” spaces, a real estate “war room,” and a real-time behavioral research laboratory. The building will also be home to the Center for Career and Professional Development, Sales Institute, Undergraduate Collaboration Commons, Entrepreneurial Center, Analytics Lab, among others—furthering the mission of the College to strengthen the link between the academic and business communities.

The design is respectful of FSU’s Jacobian architecture while incorporating contemporary elements that reflect the state-of-the-art learning environment within. At the center of the building, a multi-story Commons will provide the college with an inspiring and welcoming heart. Its transparency and flexible spaces will make visible the importance of learning in and outside the classroom.
