The Buffalo News Features Central Park Plaza Redevelopment Project

The Buffalo News highlights the recent progress of the Central Park Plaza Redevelopment Project. Working in collaboration with Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation, HHL Architects, Wendel Companies, LPCiminelli, and Mustard Seed World Consulting—Goody Clancy’s Ben Carlson led the project’s neighborhood outreach and development planning process.

The developer-sponsored effort aims to reverse decades of neighborhood disinvestment with new housing focused around re-emerging transit and job centers. Through partnerships with the city and community-based organizations, the plan pairs redevelopment of a former 27-acre shopping center with rehab and infill housing, and improved access to local resources.

Daria Pratcher—board chairman of Fillmore-Leroy Area Residents Inc, a local community development agency—describes the project as “a catalyst in changing what will come into the neighborhood.”

We are excited to participate in the major transformation of a neighborhood that will bring lasting benefits to residents, local businesses, and the environment!
