RIBA Webinar Series – Global Architecture Exchanges

Goody Clancy’s Jean Carroon FAIA LEED Fellow recently participated in RIBA’s “Global Architecture Exchanges,” a virtual series that explores architecture and its relationship to climate, culture, and COVID-19. Jean was joined by fellow panelists Professor Claudia Amorim (University of Brazil), Robin Snell, (Robin Snell and Partners), Valerie Mulvin and Niall McCullough (McCullough Mulvin Architects) in an extensive and informative discussion about sustainable retrofitting and how architects from other parts of the world respond to this challenge to reduce carbon emissions.

During her portion of the presentation, Jean discusses her approach to building preservation, focusing on air infiltration and building systems as a means of reducing energy use upon occupancy.
