Goody Clancy presents Glenbrook/Springdale Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Plan recommendations to Stamford, Connecticut Planning Board
Mitch Glass, Senior Urban Designer, presented the recommendations of the Glenbrook/Springdale transit-oriented development (TOD) plan to the City of Stamford’s Planning Board on June 9, 2015. The plan highlights major opportunities to advance mixed-use transit oriented development within urban village centers around two Metro-North stations on the New Canaan Branch Line. The planning process has attracted significant attention from local developers and investors who are already advancing new mixed-use projects that are adding to the vitality of the village districts. Zoning recommendations from the plan relating to building heights and setbacks have already been approved by the Stamford Zoning Board removing barriers to new investment. Residents from Glenbrook and Springdale participated in six community meetings over the course of the 18-month project and their input was embraced within the study recommendations.
