Goody Clancy Clients Win Two of Ten HUD Grant Awards

Last week Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded $8 million to ten neighborhoods across the country to jumpstart local revitalization. Two Goody Clancy Choice Neighborhood clients, the Louisville Metro Housing Authority (KY) and the City of Shreveport, LA, were awarded $1 million action grants to continue momentum with community and economic development projects in their distressed neighborhoods.

  • Goody Clancy is currently developing a Transformation Plan for the Russell neighborhood in Louisville. With this grant, the Housing Authority can take immediate action on priority recommendations to demonstrate progress and attract additional new investment.
  • Goody Clancy worked with the City of Shreveport to complete a Transformation Plan for the Allendale and Ledbetter Heights neighborhoods in 2013. This grant allows the City to build on its success in bringing the residents’ vision to life.
