Coppin State University Celebrates Grand Opening of the College of Business

The new College of Business building will allow us to better deliver on our core purpose of teaching, developing solutions through transdisciplinary research, and service to our community. Coppin State University Celebrates Grand Opening of New College of Business Building
Sadie R. GregoryDean of the College of Business

The new College of Business at Coppin State University is officially open! Last week, we were thrilled to celebrate this momentous occasion alongside our partner Quinn Evans at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Home to the Center for Strategic Entrepreneurship, this state-of-the-art facility puts active learning on display. A glass atrium at the heart of the building is surrounded by collaboration spaces, specialized computer labs, and executive conference rooms. These technology-rich spaces encourage creativity and curiosity, helping to equip students with the skills they need for real-world business and entrepreneurial endeavors.

The College of Business also strengthens the university’s community-serving mission: ground-floor business centers and a production/innovation suite are open to both students and Baltimore small business owners, creating opportunities to forge industry partnerships and test innovative ideas.

With this building, Coppin State continues to embrace and uplift its West Baltimore community. I am impressed not only by how they open the building physically with programs for the neighborhood, but also by the innovations and services they offer their students to ensure student success.
