Ben Carlson and Mitch Glass present at 2014 SNEAPA Conference

Goody Clancy’s Director of Urban Design, Ben Carlson, and Senior Urban Designer, Mitch Glass, led a session – Innovation Districts in My Backyard: Cambridge, MA and New Haven, CTat the 2014 Southern New England American Planning Association Annual Conference. Ben and Mitch were joined on the panel by our clients from Cambridge and New Haven: Iram Farooq, Acting Deputy Director, Cambridge Community Development Department, and Erik Johnson, Executive Director, Livable Cities Initiative. The session explored two neighborhood-adjacent innovation districts – Cambridge’s Kendall Square and New Haven’s Hill-to-Downtown – to understand their urban, community and economic contexts, strategies for growth, and what lies ahead for both neighborhoods.
