Building Reuse is Climate Action: Verification Methodologies

On Wednesday, Lori Ferriss, AIA, PE, LEED AP (Goody Clancy’s Director of Sustainability and Climate Action), Christopher Nielson, and Ross Cameron, RIBA RIAS will present the panel discussion: “Building Reuse is Climate Action: Verification Methodologies.”

Architecture 2030 projects that embodied carbon will account for 74% of total emissions from buildings constructed during the next ten years. Full life cycle carbon accounting and a focus on renovation will therefore be essential to meeting our 2030 emissions targets. Panelists will discuss the importance of building reuse in addressing climate change and identify available tools and strategies that curb embodied carbon emissions. The session will go live this Wednesday from 12:00pm to 1:30pm.
