HR Manager

Overview

The HR Manager will partner and collaborate with firm leaders to develop and implement HR programs and policies that align with Goody Clancy's organizational goals and firm culture.  The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the human resources function under the direction of the Director of Operations, to include overseeing recruitment and staffing projections, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The HR Manager will handle employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration, while fostering a positive work environment and promoting employee engagement and development.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advisor by providing recommendations to firm leadership and management regarding culture, talent, and legal and management issues.
  • Develop, plan and refine policies that support Goody Clancy’s business objectives and continuously evaluate their efficacy, alignment with firm culture, and compliance with national and local regulations.
  • Ensure the fair and equal treatment of employees by interpreting and administering Goody Clancy’s policies and practices consistently and transparently.
  • Develop and implement a recruiting process and support the full recruiting cycle by developing job posts, scheduling and screening candidates, coordinating interview schedules, and hiring of final candidates.
  • Partner with firm leadership to forecast future hiring needs based on business growth and market trends.
  • Manage the onboarding process, making updates and refinements as needed.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and direction to all levels of staff, as well as facilitate and maintain programs and initiatives in the areas of performance management, giving feedback, and enabling employee development.
  • Engage in firmwide staffing efforts in collaboration with the Director of Operations to align project needs with employee skillsets and professional development goals.
  • Work collaboratively with staff at all levels to support their well-being in the office, clarify their goals, assist in achieving their professional development objectives, and provide a supportive sounding board.
  • Build strong relationships at all levels within Goody Clancy. Serve as a good listener, lead with empathy, and facilitate solutions that balance the needs of the individual within the business framework of the organization.
  • Support leadership in managing and administering benefits plans that are aligned with financial and strategic business plans and meet the needs of the employees.
  • Collaborate with staff and leaders to develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and programs to promote a culture of inclusivity and belonging across the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and apply policies that ensure fair treatment, equal opportunities, and a respectful work environment for all employees.

Qualifications and Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
  • Proven experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage HR projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
