Downtowns & Special Districts
Goody Clancy has devised successful revitalization projects for many older cities. We have created new downtown neighborhoods; devised guidelines and codes that enliven downtownsa and promote new districts; redeveloped brownfields into vibrant mixed-use districts; and integrated large-scale development into historic urban neighborhoods.
We also work with private owners and developers, institutions, foundations, and partnerships to plan city centers and urban neighborhoods. Our projects range from a comprehensive strategy to guide 12 million square feet of mixed-use development around the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to revitalization plans for communities as diverse as Akron, Ohio; Baltimore, Maryland; and Jamestown, New York.
