Goody Clancy's work in San Antonio involvea an update and completion of the master plan for Victoria Commons, a SAHA-owned property strategically located close to the downtown and a major central park and in proximity to some of the city’s most historically significant neighborhoods. Informed by public comment, the plan is built on a careful analysis of market opportunities for both new housing and retail, aimed at accenting the area as the Gateway to Downtown. The final design reflects a variety of housing types, new open space, new retail, and new linkages to the surrounding areas.
Goody Clancy is also collaborating with the SAHA on a Choice Neighborhood Initiative (CNI) plan and implementation grant proposal – to be submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development – for the revitalization and transformation of the Wheatley Courts public housing project and surrounding neighborhood situated on the eastside of San Antonio.
