Project Highlights
Goody Clancy, in collaboration with Perkins+Will, assisted Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) in creating a new comprehensive campus master plan. Goody Clancy led the planning and urban design process, guiding the direction of the comprehensive master plan, coordinating outreach efforts, and providing day-to-day management of the project and the consulting team.
Through the master planning process, WIT was given the opportunity to think holistically about
issues such as:
- the quality and diversity of the student experience both inside and outside of the classroom;
- shifts in teaching methods and the special demands they generate;
- opportunities for partnerships with private entities and/or nearby institutions;
- the potential of underutilized land to accommodate future campus needs; and
- the image the WIT projects to its broader context – the “face” it shows the world.
