Wentworth and Bryant Select Goody Clancy for Campus Planning
Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA) has selected Goody Clancy, in collaboration with Perkins+Will, to bring their complementary expertise in the planning, programming, and design of campuses to create a new comprehensive campus master plan for the Institute. Goody Clancy will lead the planning and urban design process, a key driver that will inform the direction of the comprehensive master plan and the future growth of the campus in the city.
Bryant University (Smithfield, RI) has chosen Goody Clancy to assist them in the development of a master plan to help translate their strategic goals and objectives into a physical plan that identifies where they should focus their resources to meet current and future demands on its facilities. A central part of this effort will be the ability to create a compelling and achievable vision for the campus which strengthens its existing programs, assists in defining future opportunities for growth in the Arts & Sciences, and develops a site strategy for locating future buildings.
Goody Clancy's work with colleges and universities brings local sensitivity and national experience in translating strategic goals into creative, feasible long-term plans and guidelines. The firm’s campus master planning approach involves working closely with institutions to understand academic mission and program needs, identify areas of agreement and convergence, and show how physical planning decisions, land use policies, open space, and placemaking can help achieve strategic goals.
