Goody Clancy selected to redevelop Columbus' Near East Side project

Goody Clancy Launches Third Project in Columbus

Goody Clancy will undertake a planning process for redevelopment of an 800-acre district around Ohio State University Hospital East in Columbus. Partners for Achieving Community Transformation (PACT) —  a consortium that includes OSU, the Metropolitan Housing Authority, and the City of Columbus — is sponsoring the work, which will involve neighborhood residents in creation of a vision and plan for the area. We expect to produce a draft plan this summer and a final plan by the end of the year.

The Near East Side Planning effort recalls similar work we completed several years ago in the neighborhood east of Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore and marks our third planning project under way in Columbus. We are also leading planning for creation of a creative district in East Franklinton, and with our architecture practice we have teamed with Elkus/Manfredi Architects to develop a new plan and architecture that will double the density of OSU’s 2,800-student North Residential District.
